The Huawei Mate 80 series is expected to launch soon in China. Although the company hasn’t provided a launch date, the phones were recently certified for sale in the country.

Real-world images of the Mate 80 series have surfaced online, revealing the rear panel design. The photos show a redesigned circular camera module, marking a change from the Mate 70 lineup.

The triple camera setup on the back has lenses arranged in a triangle pattern. The top lens is likely a periscope telephoto unit, while the two below appear to be the main and ultrawide cameras.

The setup also seems to include dual LED flash modules, with the circular camera housing encircled by what appears to be a steel ring.

We’re not really sure what the extra flash module is for, but it could be used to pack a color or light sensor. Meanwhile, the second image shows the Mate 80 series in a yellow color option.

Other than the design changes to the rear camera module, the rest of the phone seems to be similar to the Mate 70 lineup.

The final leaked image shows the Mate 80 series and what appears to be the official cases for the phones.

Huawei’s Mate 80 series is likely to include the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, and the Mate 80 Pro+. The phones are said to come with up to 100W fast charging support, new Kirin SoCs, and at least one of them may have a built-in cooling fan. The company is also expected to launch the Mate 80 RS, which is said to offer a titanium frame and a dual-layer OLED screen.
