The iQOO 15 is expected to be unveiled in China next month, with an international debut anticipated before the end of the year. The brand has already revealed the iQOO 15’s design and a few other features, but today it confirmed the most important part of the phone’s specs sheet – the processor.
iQOO has confirmed that the iQOO 15 will be powered by the freshly announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship chip. That’s hardly a surprise since the previous iQOO flagships also had Qualcomm’s flagship silicon at the helm.
For what it’s worth, the iQOO 15’s Indian model will also have the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC under the hood. Not that there were rumors of the Indian or other non-Chinese iQOO 15 versions having a different chip at the helm, but it’s still good to have an official confirmation.

It’s also worth mentioning that the global iQOO 15, like its Chinese counterpart, will run OriginOS 6 out of the box. The international versions of the upcoming vivo X300 series will also boot OriginOS, which has been exclusive to China for years, instead of Funtouch OS.
A new journey begins. OriginOS is coming soon.

Circling back to iQOO 15, iQOO previously confirmed that its 2025 flagship will pack a 6.85″ 144Hz QHD display and have a Q3 gaming chip under the hood. The smartphone will also feature a periscope telephoto camera and a back cover with a color-changing design.
